Come to Golden Supply Co: 210 South Ave Ste 120 on Saturday, January 24 2026 from 2-5 for a camera strap making class. The two options you can select include: Pre-cut straps, or if you come an hour early, you'll be able to cut and prepare your own camera strap sized exactly how you want.
Camera straps will be sewn in a round-table style group session with thread and needles provided - the straps themselves will be made of 1 1/2" straps of heavy and long-lasting leather used traditionally for horse riding. The camera straps are sewn to peaks design anchor links, so you can easily swap your handmade strap to any of your favorite cameras.
This is an entry level class with no cutting involved, so come prepared to sew by hand for a couple hours, and get familiar with the basics of leatherworking.
For folks not ordering the custom strap option, when you arrive, you'll see a pre-cut strap with components ready to be attached and sewn on. You'll pre-punch holes and then saddle stitch by hand to secure the anchors to the strap.
For folks who are ordering a custom strap, we ask that you arrive an hour early at 1 PM to measure, cut and prepare your custom strap to size. If you have a strap you love the size of, please bring it along and we'll measure.
